This second chapter of Marvel's 2011 five-part Thunderstrike limited series puts a striking red-haired woman front and center, clad in sleek black-and-white armor and holding an ornate battle-axe across her shoulders with cool, assured confidence. The tagline "Hot for Teacher!" hints at some kind of mentor dynamic at play, and the cover's bold energy reflects the creative team of writer/artist Ron Frenz and inker Sal Buscema working in fine form. DeFalco, Frenz, and Buscema bring a polished, kinetic sensibility to this series that fans of Marvel's action-hero tradition will find immediately appealing.
