The cover of this 2011 entry in Jeff Parker's Thunderbolts run is a striking image of the team — Luke Cage leading the charge at the front, Juggernaut looming behind him, and a pink-winged figure, a dark-haired woman in brown, a helmeted armored figure, and another wind-swept female character filling out the formation — all surrounded by a closing ring of grasping, clawed red hands against a stormy, lightning-cracked sky. The tagline "None Shall Survive the Incarsicus!" promises a serious threat, and Jean-Sébastien Rossbach's painterly cover sells the tension beautifully. With Parker's scripts backed by the art team of Kev Walker and Declan Shalvey on interiors, this issue looks like a satisfying mix of superhero muscle and genuine menace.
