Peter Cannon, the masked hero Thunderbolt, receives his first assignment from a mysterious organization to eliminate Machine Gun O'Brien, an American gangster responsible for twenty murders. Peter and his associate Tabu travel to London and infiltrate the Crown Hotel, where they descend into hidden caverns beneath the city. While exploring, Thunderbolt encounters a hooded assassin also seeking O'Brien and engages him in combat, using football techniques and martial prowess to gain the upper hand.
