Rosiński's painterly cover for this 2018 Le Lombard volume says everything with quiet intensity: a battle-worn, bare-armed Thorgal stands resolute, spear in hand and sword at his hip, his white garment stained with the evidence of recent conflict. The lush green landscape behind him feels almost deceptively serene against his weathered, determined expression. Written by Yann and brought to life entirely by Rosiński's art, coloring, and inking, Aniel is a handsome addition to this long-running Franco-Belgian series.
