Thorgal #3
The Dutch-language third volume of Thorgal arrives from Le Lombard in 1981 with a cover by Grzegorz Rosiński that immediately commands attention — a lean, battle-ready warrior braces himself in a stone doorway, clutching a spear while a trident looms threateningly from below, the warm amber tones of the stonework lending the scene a tense, ancient atmosphere. Jean Van Hamme's script and Rosiński's art promise the kind of mythic adventure embedded in the title "Drie grijsaards in het land van Aran" — three elders, a mysterious land, and clearly plenty of danger in between. A worthy addition to this beloved Franco-Belgian series.
