Volume 18 of the beloved Belgian series brings Thorgal to "Het Zonnezwaard" (The Sun Sword), with Grzegorz Rosiński's cover painting setting a tense, atmospheric tone deep in a forest clearing. The cover shows Thorgal standing firm with spear in hand, a horse behind him, while a massive bear rears up before him and a fallen figure lies on the ground nearby — the whole scene rendered in Rosiński's richly naturalistic style. Jean Van Hamme and Rosiński remain one of European comics' most compelling creative partnerships, and this 1992 Le Lombard entry looks to deliver another gripping chapter in Thorgal's saga.
