“If This Be Juggernaut!”

In "If This Be Juggernaut!", Thor finds himself mistaken for the unstoppable Juggernaut when Excalibur, duped by a powerful illusion, launches a full-scale assault. With the Wrecking Crew crashing in, an invisible Enchantress manipulating events, and Code: Blue caught in the crossfire, chaos erupts across an asteroid battlefield. Written by Ron Frenz and Tom DeFalco, with dynamic art by Frenz and inks by Joe Sinnott, this 1991 Marvel classic delivers a wild, misdirected showdown where the truth only comes to light when the spell breaks—and the real Juggernaut is revealed. The cover, penciled by Frenz and inked by Sinnott, captures the moment of confrontation with perfect intensity.

Excalibur has been duped into thinking that Thor is the Juggernaut, and they battle Code: Blue who is trying to protect him. Add to the mix the Wrecking Crew and an invisible Enchantress and you have the perfect recipe for a battle royal. When the Wrecking Crew is finally beaten badly enough to teleport out, the spell ends and Excalibur discovers they have been beating on Thor who is still kind enough to take them to the asteroid where the real Juggernaut is hiding. Of course, they are all promptly captured and Juggernaut has the last laugh.
