In the aftermath of Professor Xavier’s passing, the X-Men gather at the mansion for the reading of his will, only to be thrown into chaos when Juggernaut returns from the Crimson Cosmos—bearing a bitter grudge against his late half-brother. With the mansion under siege and old wounds reopened, the team faces their most personal trial yet, as loyalty is tested and the future of the X-Men hangs in the balance.

"...And Then There Were Two" finds Jake and Joe caught in a tense standoff as a furious mob closes in, their escape seeming impossible. With the arrival of Joe’s father offering no help, it’s only through Xavier’s intervention that the two are freed — and soon after, Joe is brought into the X-Men’s fold.
