James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas's survival series reaches issue #21 with a cover that places three battle-worn figures front and center: a hooded young woman with striking face paint and piercing blue eyes dominates the composition, flanked by a red-haired teen sporting a bandaged cheek and a darker-haired companion in a weathered cloak. The splatter of crimson against the teal background gives the whole image a tense, unresolved energy that feels very much in keeping with the series' alien-wilderness stakes. Dialynas's expressive linework and Josan Gonzalez's vivid color work make this an eye-catching entry in one of BOOM! Studios' most compelling ongoing series.
