DC's long-running anthology of "Creepy Shockers of Surprise and Suspense" delivers another unsettling package with The Witching Hour #62, on stands in March 1976. Luis Dominguez's cover sets the dread perfectly: a young couple cheerfully searching for a picnic spot have no idea that a massive, grotesque creature face lurks in the rocky ground directly beside them, its wide eyes and jagged teeth just waiting to be noticed. Three tales are teased along the bottom — "Murder by the Clock!," "Never Steal from Your Mummy!," and "The Cat's-Eye Stone!" — promising the kind of eerie twists this series built its reputation on.
