Three darkly glamorous women in gothic black attire sit defiantly within the gaping maw of an enormous beast, surrounded by cats of every color — a striking image that perfectly captures the series' blend of witchcraft and wild attitude. Tara McPherson's cover art is boldly stylized, pairing lush, almost surreal color with a cool confidence that makes this Vertigo title feel entirely its own. Issue #10, with writing by Jonathan Vankin and interior art by Leigh Gallagher, brings the mature-readers series to its penultimate chapter in fine, unsettling fashion.
