The Witchblade Collected Edition #2

Sep 1996 · Image · 4.95 USD; 6.80 CAD

The Witchblade Collected Edition #2 (1996) delivers a gripping, visceral chapter in Sara Pezzini’s struggle with the supernatural power of the Witchblade. After resurrecting her partner Michael Yee—only to see him return as a hollow, tormented corpse—Sara rejects the weapon’s influence, casting it into a crematory before being kidnapped by the enigmatic Mr. Wright. Left for dead after being shot, she’s saved only when the Witchblade fuses to her arm, granting her the strength to escape and flee to Liberty Island, where Ian awaits—ready to face whatever comes next. With Michael Turner’s striking art and bold inking by D-Tron, the cover captures the moment of transformation, setting the stage for a confrontation that’s as much internal as it is physical.

Sara has used the power of the Witchblade to return her fallen partner, Michael Yee, to life but he comes back as a cold corpse begging for her to kill him again. Disgusted by its power, Sara throws the Witchblade into the crematory and heads home. Sara is later abducted by Mr. Wright who takes her on his boat, tosses her the Witchblade and tells her to put it on. When she refuses, he shoots her multiple times. As Sara lies dying once again, the Witchblade grafts onto her arm and she is able to leap into the ocean and escape to nearby Liberty Island. Ian arrives, ready for battle.
