The cover of this 2022 Image Comics release sets a tense, grim tone: against a chain-link fence topped with razor wire, a powerfully built shirtless man and an older bearded man loom over a bloodied figure collapsed on the ground, while a woman with dreadlocks and another figure watch from behind with visible alarm. David Finch's cover pencils and inks deliver raw, grounded intensity, and Dave McCaig's warm, muted coloring gives the whole scene a suffocating, desperate atmosphere. Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's celebrated post-apocalyptic saga continues in fine form with this deluxe edition installment.
