Part of Marvel's celebration of Captain America's 80th anniversary, this third chapter of The United States of Captain America brings together Steve Rogers in his classic blue-and-red armor and a new shield-bearer — a figure in Indigenous-inspired costume bearing the familiar "A" emblem on his headband — standing back-to-back against a smoky, ember-lit backdrop, fists raised and ready. The cover by Gerald Parel radiates a sense of shared purpose between these two very different Caps, the iconic vibranium shield held between them like a torch being passed. With Christopher Cantwell writing and Dale Eaglesham on interior art, this issue feels like exactly the kind of expansive, cross-country story that the title promises.
