DC's long-running horror anthology returns with issue #187, promising five fright-filled stories of suspense for fifty cents. Luis Dominguez's cover sets an unsettling tone: a woman speaks urgently to a constable amid a tangle of enormous, web-like strands, while a pale, shrouded figure looms in the foreground — her missing husband seemingly swallowed by something deeply wrong. The tagline "Have You the Nerve to Face the Unexpected?" feels well-earned here, and with interior work from writer George Kashdan and artist Ruben Yandoc, 1978 DC horror fans had plenty to keep the lights on for.
