As the battle rages, the ancient Inhumanoid leader Metlar is freed from captivity by Tendril’s offshoots, unleashing a terrifying new threat. Just as the Earth Corps brace for the onslaught, Blackthorne Shore arrives in battle armor and takes control—capturing Metlar before the chaos escalates. But before the situation can stabilize, D'Compose turns Sandra Shore into a twisted undead creature, plunging the group into a desperate struggle against forces both monstrous and unnatural.
