Ron Wimberly's stylish collage-style cover for issue #12 sets a wonderfully offbeat tone, arranging a coolly suited figure with tinted glasses, the fierce Beetle in mid-action, and the spotted bulk of the Shocker against bold blocks of pink, orange, and teal. A disembodied blue arm reaches dramatically into frame from the right, adding just the right note of absurdist menace that this series does so well. Nick Spencer, Steve Lieber, and Rachelle Rosenberg's sharp creative team keeps the Sinister Six's perpetually scheming B-listers in fine, chaotic form with this "Hammerhead of the Family" chapter.
