About this Collection

This collection brings together the four-issue miniseries The Stranded, a sci-fi thriller from Virgin Comics. The story follows a group of survivors who awaken on a mysterious, desolate planet with no memory of how they got there, forced to unravel the secrets of their predicament while facing unknown dangers. Written by Mike Carey and illustrated by Siddharth Kotian, the series blends suspense and speculative fiction with a focus on character-driven survival.

"Sleeper #7: Gierin. Calvert Hills, Altoona." delivers a pivotal moment in Mike Carey’s layered sci-fi mystery, with Siddharth Kotian’s striking interior art and Anand Balusamy’s vivid colors bringing the emotional and physical stakes to life. Marc Silvestri’s cover captures the tension perfectly as Tamree confronts Janus with a truth that fractures everything he knows—just as Sisera’s powers spiral out of control in grief. The issue deepens the mystery of the sleepers and the hidden forces manipulating them, all while grounding the escalating chaos in raw, personal revelation.

Sisera's powers manifest as she grieves over Endo's death and she can't control them. Tamree and the awakened sleepers try to fight their way through Janus and Dzin to reach her, but appear to be failing. Then Tamree tells Janus the truth about who he really is and he realizes his life has been a lie, just like the sleepers. Drum helps calm Sisera to alleviate the crisis on Earth, but Tamree has been transported home where she learns Professor Zante is planning to use the sleepers to invade Earth.
