In "Willum and the Baron," a young shoeshiner finds himself caught in a bizarre arrangement with a self-proclaimed nobleman who sees him more as a punching bag and a cash cow than a companion. When the Baron schemes to pin a botched robbery on Willum, the boy’s unlikely allies—Dick Whittler and The Spirit—step in to set things right before the situation spirals out of control.

In "The Moment of Glory," the Spirit of 76 warns young Tyler Trembly that Squire Sleezy is planning to flee with the town treasury, using a signal light in the old Church tower to guide his getaway plane. Though no one takes the warning seriously, only the Spirit believes the old man’s frantic plea—and now must act before the town’s fortune vanishes into the sky.
