An anthology issue featuring three Spirit stories by Will Eisner. "Design for Doomsday" depicts Earth's final day as temperatures rise catastrophically from Monday through Friday. "The Sword & the Savage" centers on a character named Francesca and her relationship with a bullfighter, with a mysterious man claiming to know the full story. "The Last Prowl of Mr. Mephisto" involves a scheme where a criminal discovers a magical fountain that allows objects to grow, and attempts to send a man to the moon to benefit civilization.
