"Design for Doomsday" by Will Eisner depicts a catastrophic scenario in which Earth faces its final day as temperatures rise from 93° to 108° between Wednesday and Friday. "The Sword & the Savage" centers on Francesca and her legend as a bullfighter, with only Bull Farraday knowing the complete story. A third story involves a character who discovered a power at seventeen that allows objects to grow to giant size, and who now seeks to send a man to the moon to benefit civilization, revealing ambitions to control major landmarks including the White House, Mississippi, and the Nile.
