Part four of five in the "Planet of the Symbiotes" crossover event, this 1995 Super Special drops Spider-Man right into the thick of an overwhelming alien invasion. The cover — penciled by Darick Robertson and Joe St. Pierre, inked by Al Vey and Scott Koblish — captures Spidey lunging forward through an absolutely packed horde of snarling, fang-filled symbiote creatures, with a moonlit city skyline looming behind the chaos and even Venom visible among the writhing mass below him. With David Michelinie writing and Darick Robertson on interior art, this oversized issue makes a strong case that the symbiote threat has never felt quite so all-consuming.
