The Spectacular Spider-Man #34
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover by Al Milgrom says it all — Spider-Man scrambles across a high-rise wall while a snarling, white-lab-coated Lizard lunges at him, and the tagline "Lizards Lizards Everywhere…" is made literal by the half-dozen scaly green creatures crowding in from every edge of the image. It's a wonderfully overwhelming image that captures exactly the kind of wall-to-wall reptilian chaos promised by the story title "Lizards on a Hot Tin Roof!" Writer Bill Mantlo and artist Jim Mooney deliver this September 1979 issue at the classic 40-cent price point, and the sheer density of scaled menace on display makes it one of the more visually striking Lizard stories of the era.
