Part 3 of "The Final Chapter" arrives with one of the most viscerally striking covers of 1998 — a triumphant, snarling Green Goblin hoisting a badly wounded, unmasked Peter Parker by the wrist, Spider-Man's torn costume and bloodied chest making the stakes unmistakably clear. John Byrne's cover pencils and inks deliver a raw, unsettling image of the Goblin at his most menacing, looming over a barely conscious Parker against a turbulent, smoky sky.
