The Green Goblin dominates this March 1998 cover in genuinely unsettling fashion, clutching two terrified civilians — one in each hand — as "Dead or Alive" wanted posters for Spider-Man paper the background. John Romita Jr.'s pencils and Scott Hanna's inks give the Goblin a wild, unhinged energy that makes the helpless bystanders feel genuinely at risk. As the fourth chapter of the "Spiderhunt" storyline, with DeMatteis and the creative team behind it, this issue promises the city-wide manhunt for Spidey is hitting a fever pitch.
