The Spectacular Spider-Man #224

Part four of five in "The Mark of Kaine" arc, this May 1995 issue puts the Scarlet Spider front and center — literally airborne above the New York skyline, chains binding his wrists as he's hauled along by a determined, orange-jacketed figure below. Spider-Man himself watches from the upper corner, hinting that two spider-powered figures are caught up in the same dangerous situation. With the cover's bold promise of "Brought to Justice!" and Sal Buscema's cover art conveying real urgency and motion, this is a satisfying penultimate chapter in one of the more tension-filled stories of the Clone Saga era.
