The Spectacular Spider-Man #22
The cover by Dave Cockrum and Joe Rubinstein sets an irresistible scene: Spider-Man and the white-clad Moon Knight clash mid-air in a dynamic brawl while a startled civilian cowers in the alley below, crescent darts and webbing flying in every direction. The story title — "By the Light of the Silvery Moon Knight!" — makes clear that this September 1978 issue brings these two street-level fighters together in what promises to be a collision of very different fighting styles. With interior work from writer Bill Mantlo and artist Mike Zeck, this is a sharp, energetic chapter from one of Marvel's most entertaining ensemble eras.
