From the mid-1970s era of Marvel's more supernatural side comes this wild installment of The Son of Satan, with a cover by Gil Kane and Mike Esposito that lays out the stakes in vivid style. A blue-suited Possessor hurls crackling energy against a red demonic figure — Satan himself — while the anguished, enormous face of Daimon Hellstrom looms in the background, his soul apparently the prize in this clash of otherworldly powers. The cover copy says it plainly: "The Perilous Possessor versus Satan Himself — for the Soul of Daimon Hellstrom!" — and it's hard not to be drawn into that premise right away.
