The Silencer #16

Part of DC's "New Age of Heroes" initiative, The Silencer #16 opens the "Home Invasion" arc with a cover that makes the stakes unmistakably personal. The Silencer, armored and armed with both pistol and blade, faces down a dark, spectral figure crackling with energy directly above a suburban rooftop — while through the window below, two civilians (a child and an adult) look up in wide-eyed alarm, oblivious to how close danger truly is. Dan Abnett's script and V Ken Marion and Sandu Florea's kinetic linework combine to sell the core tension brilliantly: the battlefield has come home.
