Red Center relates how her father, Ten Grand, became supreme leader of the Tongs. She forces Green Turtle to fight Big Cookie and Mock Beak for the right to marry her and succeed Ten Grand; Mock Beak kills Big Cookie, whereupon Green Turtle tries to leave with Mock Beak as his prisoner. Ten Grand refuses and reveals in his shadow dwells Dragon, who granted his wish that all his fights would end with victory. Green Turtle exploits a loophole in that wish by passing on the fight and takes Mock Beak away. Soon after Ten Grand dies and Anchor of Justice invites Green Turtle to join the war effort.
