The Schlub #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom Image Comics and KLC Press, this fourth issue of The Schlub puts its round-faced, mustachioed, bespectacled protagonist front and center in a wonderfully uncomfortable close-up — fists raised, teeth clenched, and the reflection of mysterious shadowed figures visible right in his lenses. Tyrell Cannon's cover art uses that low-angle perspective brilliantly, making the schlub feel simultaneously vulnerable and oddly defiant. Writers Ryan Stegman and Kenny Porter are clearly building toward something tense, and this 2023 series continues to deliver a compelling everyman story with real visual personality.
