The Savage Strength of Starstorm #5

The cover of this 2023 Image series finale says it all — a silver-haired Starstorm rockets fist-first straight at the reader, his expression all business, while a sprawling ensemble of allies and adversaries fans out behind him: a dark-clad warrior woman, a winged angelic figure, an energy-blasting combatant in red and black, armored figures, a purple-skinned woman, a sword-wielding knight, and more. Drew Craig's linework gives the whole assembly a charged, roster-deep feel that hints at the scale of whatever collision "World War 3 or Who Died and Made THEM Boss?!" promises. If you've been following Starstorm's journey through Image, this fifth issue looks like a genuinely satisfying gathering of the full cast.
