Rob Liefeld's cover art captures a stripped-down, savage version of the hero — bare-chested beneath his golden harness and chest medallion, fists clenched and eyes locked on whatever threat lies ahead. Part of DC's New 52 initiative, this July 2012 issue pairs writer Mark Poulton with Liefeld and the interior art team of Joe Bennett and Art Thibert for a story titled "Nth Ways to Die" that promises exactly the kind of brutal, wing-and-mace action this reimagined Hawkman was built for.
