The Savage Hawkman #11

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, The Savage Hawkman #11 (2012) features a striking cover by Rob Liefeld showing Hawkman surging forward in his gleaming gold armor and winged helmet, fist cocked and wings spread wide against a sepia-toned backdrop dominated by an enormous ankh-like symbol. The tagline "Beware the Horror of St. Bastion!" promises that whatever threat awaits inside, it's no ordinary adversary. With interior art by Joe Bennett inked by Art Thibert, "Last Rites" looks to deliver the brand of visceral, high-energy adventure that defines this series.
