The Sacrificers #3

The third issue of Rick Remender's The Sacrificers from Image presents a commanding, unsettling figure draped in a sweeping crimson cloak and ornate armor, cradling a glowing chalice as fire erupts around him and his featureless, radiant face burns with otherworldly light. Max Fiumara's linework gives the character a genuinely imposing presence — part high priest, part something far more dangerous — while Dave McCaig's smoldering amber and gold palette wraps the whole scene in an atmosphere of ritual menace. If this cover is any measure, The Sacrificers is shaping up to be one of 2023's most visually striking series.
