Rick Remender, Max Fiumara, and Dave McCaig's The Sacrificers reaches its sixteenth issue with a cover that crackles with raw, vertiginous energy. A warrior tumbles through a blazing, golden sky while an enormous creature — all gaping maw and razor-sharp claws — surges upward through fire and scattered debris to meet them. It's a breathtaking composition from Image Comics that makes it very clear the stakes in this series have never felt more visceral.
