In the past Doyle and Verne organise an expedition to uncover the cause of a mysterious explosion in Siberia. They stray into a conflict between Cossacks and Mongols, and are then attacked by an alien space-ship. Meanwhile, in the present, Bishop organises a bogus emergency to help lift Restin out of a funk, and sends him back to the Wild West to solve the mystery of the disappearance of inept train-robber Al Jennings. Jennings is not what he seems, and guns Restin down.
