This WildStorm title delivers a visually striking fifth chapter, with a cover that layers three distinct images into one unsettling collage: a brooding young man stalking through a burning, apocalyptic cityscape; a kneeling figure at gunpoint, surrounded by a line of armored, rifle-wielding soldiers; and pencil sketch designs for a character labeled "Version Mary," shown in two poses with a fierce, battle-ready look. The mosaic layout — handled by Klaus Janson, Juan Santacruz, and Christopher Shy — gives the whole thing a sense of fragmented tension that fits the "Blood in the Streets" chapter title perfectly. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray are pushing this 2003 series into some genuinely dark territory, and this cover makes that promise loud and clear.
