This issue features two stories: In the main story, Tex Granger smashes a hooded terror and confronts a cattle rustler named Sloan who has been stealing cattle from local ranches; the sheriff investigates Sloan's claim that rustlers are operating on grazing land in the west. The backup story, "Hector the Icebox Burglar," follows a sleepwalking detective named Hector whose nighttime wanderings lead him to commit burglaries while asleep, causing concern for those around him.
