The Question #36
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeBy issue #36 of this thoughtful, mature-readers DC series, O'Neil and Cowan had built something genuinely distinctive, and the April 1990 cover captures that brooding atmosphere perfectly. Cowan's cover art depicts a figure in loose, light-colored clothing pressed against a towering rock face, straining upward as a skeletal or decayed hand grips their wrist from above — the warm pinks and purples of the background giving the scene an almost hallucinatory weight. It's an arresting image of struggle and uncertain salvation that suits a series always more interested in questions than easy answers.
