Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz deliver a visceral cover for this February 1988 entry in DC's mature-readers series, depicting a shirtless man straining to pull a red-haired woman from a submerged or sinking car as water and dark ink-like chaos swirl around them. The raw urgency of that image — bubbles rising, the vehicle half-consumed by the torrent — perfectly captures the gritty, street-level tension that O'Neil, Cowan, and Magyar brought to Vic Sage's world.
