The Punisher: War Zone #40

Even the Punisher can be put in chains — the cover of War Zone #40 (June 1995) presents Frank Castle front and center in handcuffs, his skull emblem unmistakable on his chest as two armed officers loom in silhouette on either side, graffiti-covered walls closing in behind him. The image radiates a grim, caged tension perfectly suited to wrapping up the "Dark Judgment" arc. Cover pencils by John Hebert and inks by Elman Brown make this a fittingly intense send-off to the storyline's conclusion.
