In the first story, the Mighty Atom uses his magic words to help the Pixies make popcorn and later recover a stolen watch by transforming into Pete Pixie, ultimately displaying the "tiniest time tower in all the world" to the children. The second story depicts Tom-Tom the elephant being awakened by a monsoon storm; with help from a red imp character and a blue elephant using magical vine powers, Tom-Tom is rescued from the dangerous floods and his life is saved.
When an army of bees takes over the Pixerary Playground and bars the young pixies from entering, Uncle Pete calls on the Mighty Atom—his powerful secret persona—to drive them out. Facing overwhelming odds as the Bee National Guard arrives, the Mighty Atom must devise an unconventional strategy to save the day and reclaim the playground for its rightful inhabitants.
When Algernon Ant steals a parachute jump meant to raise food for pixie orphans, Pete Pixie transforms into the Mighty Atom to stop him—only to discover the mad genius has equipped himself with a Repel Ray Gun that keeps the hero at bay. With the parachute jump now in danger of being hauled off to Antville, the Mighty Atom must think fast to outwit Algernon's devilish invention and save the day for the orphans.
When the Pixies discover a mysteriously ticking waterproof wrist watch at the bottom of Ten Point River, they enlist Professor Pintwell's latest diving invention to retrieve it—leading to an underwater adventure filled with battling crabs, ornery fish, and a starfish that proves trickier than expected. With help from the Mighty Atom, the determined young explorers face obstacle after obstacle in their quest to bring the timepiece back to the surface. "Wrist Watches" is a lighthearted five-page romp that proves sometimes the real treasure isn't the prize itself, but the wild journey to claim it.
Aunt Polly's overgrown yard seems hopeless until the Mighty Atom stops by with an unexpectedly simple solution—a keen-edge safety razor that makes quick work of her weed problem. It's a clever bit of problem-solving from the resourceful Pixie that turns Polly's frustration into relief.
When a crook named "Slick" Spider attempts to rob the box office at a Ferris wheel, he ends up kidnapping Polly and making his escape—but he hasn't counted on Pete, a pixie who can transform into the Mighty Atom, the most powerful being in the pixie world. Pete springs into action to stop the thief, reclaim the stolen money, and rescue Polly from danger in this zany 1948 adventure from The Pixies.
Tom-Tom builds an ark to prepare for the coming monsoon rains, but his jungle friends dismiss his warning and decide to wait out the storm on high ground instead. When two mischievous creatures play a practical joke on the sleeping Tom-Tom, he refuses to believe them when the real monsoon arrives—forcing them to stage a daring rescue before it's too late.
