“An Unimportant Man, Part Two”

The cover of this 2024 DC series says it all: a sharply dressed Penguin lounges in an ornate chair, drink in gloved hand and that unsettling white-eyed smirk firmly in place, while a snarling Batman crashes through shattered glass behind him — and the tagline "What Could Go Wrong?" hangs there like a perfectly timed punchline. Carmine Di Giandomenico's artwork crackles with tension and dark humor, bathing the whole scene in a rich crimson palette that makes the uneasy alliance feel both glamorous and dangerous. Tom King, Stevan Subic, and Marcelo Maiolo continue "An Unimportant Man, Part Two," and if the cover is any indication, Oswald Cobblepot's world is about to get considerably more complicated.
