This volume collects the first six issues of the 2024 The Penguin series, launching a new solo saga for the Gotham City crime lord. Written by Tom King with art by Rafael de Latorre, The Prodigal Bird follows Oswald Cobblepot as he is released from Blackgate Prison and attempts to reclaim his criminal empire, only to find that his old methods no longer work in a city that has moved on without him. The story sets up a gritty, character-driven exploration of power, legacy, and survival in the underworld of DC's Batman universe.
