“The Patchwork Girl of Oz [Part Three]”

In "The Patchwork Girl of Oz [Part Three]," Doctor Pipt and his wife complete their final rites to bring the Patchwork Girl to life—only for Ojo to quietly weave in unexpected traits like Humor, Heart, Ambition, and Bravery, altering her essence in ways neither creator intended. When Scraps awakens with a booming laugh, her joy quickly turns to chaos as she accidentally knocks over a bottle of the Liquid of Petrifaction, turning Unk Nunkie to stone. Written by L. Frank Baum and Otis Frampton, with art, inks, colors, and letters by Otis Frampton and Tracy Bailey, and a cover by Otis Frampton, this 2025 Image Comics issue delivers a whimsical yet tense moment in the journey of a girl stitched together from scraps and surprise.

Doctor Pipt and his wife make the final preparations to bring the Patchwork Girl to life, but Ojo secretly interferes and adds some qualities that Margolotte definitely did not choose, including Humor, Heart, Ambition, and Bravery. Scraps awakens with a great laugh, and boisterously greets Ojo, but in her enthusiasm she knocks over a bottle of the Liquid of Petrifaction, which turns Unk Nunkie to stone.
