Jim Aparo's cover for this December 1987 issue says it all: Geo-Force stands in green-and-yellow costume, golden crown pressed between his hands, before an ornate throne splattered with blood — and a limp, pale hand visible at the bottom of the frame pools crimson on the floor. The story title "...Uneasy Lies the Head..." paired with the cover blurb "Throne of Blood!" promises that royalty and violence are colliding in ways that put the prince of Markovia in a deeply uncomfortable position. Mike W. Barr and Jim Aparo were clearly in top form as they brought this chapter of The Outsiders' ongoing saga to life.
