The twelfth and final book of James Tynion IV's unsettling DC Black Label series arrives with a cover by Álvaro Martínez Bueno that perfectly captures the series' dreamlike dread — a lone figure sits serenely at a coffee table while multiple human bodies float weightlessly around him, suspended among drifting fish in an eerie teal-lit interior. Jordie Bellaire's coloring bathes the whole scene in cool aquatic blues and greens, giving the lakehouse setting an otherworldly, submerged quality that feels both tranquil and deeply wrong. It's a striking send-off image for one of 2023's most atmospheric horror series.
