The New Teen Titans #34
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this August 1987 DC issue throws you right into the chaos, with a white-costumed hero at center stage, arms outstretched against a dramatic burst of fire and smoke, while Mento himself tumbles forward in apparent distress — all framed by the ominous tagline "Mutants, Madness and — The End of Mento?" Starfire's flowing red hair and a crowd of combatants press in from the right, with a looming, clenched-fisted figure dominating the left, giving the whole composition a wonderfully kinetic, all-hands-on-deck energy. Eduardo Barreto handles both pencils and inks here, delivering a densely packed scene that makes this Marv Wolfman-scripted epilogue feel like anything but an afterthought.
