“Palimpsest Part I”

In "Palimpsest Part I," written by Peter Milligan and illustrated by Ronilson Freire, the ancient curse of the Mark of Kharis resurfaces in modern-day England, where Ukrainian refugee Angelina becomes the latest in a long line of women reborn under Anubis’s promise—only to be hunted by the deadly Sect of Anubis, who seek to extend their own lives through ritual sacrifice. As Angelina flees her pursuers, she confronts a terrifying vision of Ammit, the devourer of souls, marking the beginning of a journey that spans centuries and defies death itself. The cover by Paul McCaffrey captures the haunting intensity of this supernatural tale.
